Please turn off direction-changing context menus

It’s a very jarring behaviour that I haven’t seen in any other software.

There was already an old suggestion thread about this, and from @samuelclay’s comment it seems that the behaviour was turned off in 2012, yet it’s still how it works on my account hosted at newsblur.com.

Also was surprised to see that I already commented on that other thread 2 years ago, reporting the exact same thing, and there has been no developer response ever since

The reason the menu switches direction is that it doesn’t fit on the screen going down. What would the alternative be?

To offset it from the cursor while retaining the original order of options. Windows, browsers, Office all do it this way, so I would argue other users expect that behaviour too.
