Many, but not all of my YouTube Feeds are not updating today. At first I thought it was only the feed URLs with gdata, as I was trying to troubleshoot, but it’s some of the normal YouTube Feeds too.
For example, this feed (Full Mount MMA) shows the latest video in the data, but even manually fetching doesn’t even pull the video into NewsBlur.
It seems like YouTube feeds are only updating about once per day now. I’m surprised there aren’t many more comments about this issue so I’m wondering if it’s only a small subset of issue affected by it. Can we get some confirmation that issue is real and status? It really limits the usefulness of NewsBlur the way I use it. Thanks!
I’m also feeling this, most of the YouTube feeds I follow I’m also subscribed to so I can still go and see what I need to watch, just not as easy. I’ve not noticed how often it updates. A curl of the RSS feed does show it so it could be some sort of rate limiting maybe for Newsblur would be my only guess, or something wrong with the fetching of feeds. @samuelclay any more ideas / info you can see on the server side?
The usual and expected behavior is videos show up NewsBlur within a few hours of being posted. Is there anything I can do to help troubleshoot?
Update: For the first time all week they have updated on their own. I was also able to instafetch a feed and have it update for the first time this week. Fingers crossed it has resolved.
So it’s end of the day for me (11pm) and my YouTube feeds haven’t updated since noon so the issue remains. I didn’t insta-fetch every feed but that’s not working either even though the RSS and Channel has new videos listed.
I’ll add that I’m also having issues adding new YouTube feeds. Today I’ve tried multiple times to add the channels below but each time it results in an empty feed named [untitled] .
From the lack of reports here I assume this isn’t widespread and may be something on my account for some unknown reason. If it matters from a config perspective I’m on what I think is the highest level Archive account if I remember right. Thanks as always!
Yeah I have been seeing the Untitled issue recently as well. It’s mostly been with a few blog sites and some Open RSS feeds. But I hear that sometimes Newsblur can make too many requests to websites, so it may be that these websites are blocking Newsblur or rate limiting. Not sure
The past couple days things are working as expected. I’d be curious if it resolved itself somehow or was a fix, but either way I’m happy it’s working again.
