Call me clueless, but I want to back up my feed. I read the function can be found at preferences menu. But where is the preferences menu? I’m not seeing it.

Bottom left of the screen, hit the settings cog and go to Account > Backup OPML. Also can be found in Manage > Preferences > Backup.
