I don’t know how to explain this because I don’t know what it is, how it works and how to activate it.
Sometimes when I was reading a story if I clicked on the edge between the story list and the story I was reading there was a small arrow icon, I think, that was placed in the position the cursor was.
I always activated it by mistake, and did not know how to remove it or what it did. I believe it was an indicator of where one stopped reading in a story if he wanted to continue later?
Anyway, it’s been some time I was not able to make this '“thing” come again. Is it a feature that was removed?

It’s a triangular marker looking like this (if it’s the same thing as the person above is referring to):
Even I am curious what it is for. It appears all of a sudden and then is hard to get rid of.
Sorry Samuel, I cannot provide a screenshot as I don’t know how this thing appears and how to control it. I think probably I am referring to what @anon-37641789236 described. If I manage to get this thing somewhere somehow and make a screenshot I’ll post it here
It sounds like people are talking about this indicator arrow (I added the red square) that tracks the mouse position vertically? I thought it was an indicator for showing if the current story is “active” (based on the position of the mouse) to use for marking stories read?
Yes, I think that is it! Do you know how it appeared, for example if you “activated” it manually?
This is probably it but as I recall, it appears on the other side of the vertical, demarcating line and gets “frozen” in position sporadically.
Yeah that’s an ancient marker that’s bene there forever. It denotes which story is “selected” and you can pin and unpin it to either follow your mouse or choose a specific spot.
Samuel, thanks for the explanation. It still is a bit unclear to me what is the purpose of this marker, for example how it denotes a story is selected, how to pin/unpin, what does following the mouse do, how it is triggered etc.
Sorry to bug you with a lot of questions but I believe I haven’t seen any hints of this tool in the documentation
