Now the site settings only works in the feed list of the site. But I personally mainly use the “All site stories” feed list and now I can’t use the different site view preferences.

Problem is that you’d be flipping back and forth between different views. I thought about it and I think it would be too weird of an experience. Also, if you change the view, does it only stick for the site or for the folder?
I made it easy to temporarily switch from Feed to Text view by hitting shift+enter. When you hit down, it goes back to the current view. You can also switch views with a left/right arrow key.
