Upgrade/ billing issue

Hello! I didn’t find a way to email about this. I just upgraded to archive from premium - however, I was charged the whole cost of the archive and didn’t see a refund for the premium. Should that have happened? Looking at the billing and payments history, could it be because I subscribed to Premium using Play Store and Archive directly?

Sorry about that, and you’re right. Upgrading should credit the unused time on your old plan. It didn’t here because your Premium was billed through Google Play while the Archive upgrade went through our website, and those two billing systems don’t reconcile automatically.

I’ve refunded the unused portion of your Premium subscription, $33.34, to the card you used for Archive. It should land within a few business days.

One thing only you can do from your end: your Google Play “Premium” subscription is still active and set to renew next April. Open the Play Store app, go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, and cancel NewsBlur Premium. Cancelling won’t affect your account since Archive runs through our website now. I’ve also fixed this so it won’t happen to anyone else.
