Unexpected paragraph breaks in the BoingBoing feed.

Note that these are inline links, not block-level elements, in the feed itself ( http://feeds.feedburner.com/boingboin… )

This looks more like the Text view than the Feed view. Is that so?

Apparently, yes. I had to turn it on to reproduce the problem just now (although I don’t recall ever turning it on, or later, off again).

I’m seeing the same issue in the Text View for the feeds of these websites:

I know this thread is a bit old, but this problem is still regularly occurring. An example article: http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/10/12/critical-vulnerability-pork-explosion-revealed-by-jcase-crip… and atta ched is the text rendering in NewsBlur. The original HTML does not have any line breaks following “Dubbed”, “Explosion”, “SELinux”, etc. “SELinux” is encapsulate in a simple tag.

Thanks!

This is caused by the HTML diffing library I use. I’ve switched four times now and this is the best I can get. The last diffing library left extra spaces everywhere. In this case it looks like either the link changed or something near the link changed. It should not be doing this to stories that aren’t changing.

Ah, guess we’ll have to live with it for now. Which lib is it? Maybe we can file an issue or fix it for them.
