Trying to join but keep getting error

I am trying to set up my account but it keeps giving me an error that says " My username can only have letters and numbers" which I am doing. Can someone tell me why this is happening?

Hmm, what’s the username you’re registering with? Are you using an email instead of a username?

my username checks green so that I know goes thru. And it goes in this order when signing up:

Username-
password-
email address-

Now I am doign this on the web in case that matters.

There is no green check for usernames, so I don’t know that that’s working as you’d expect. Here’s a stand alone sign up form you can try: Create an Account
