One of Cory’s post from a year or so ago is what led me to try newsblur, I’d bounced around readers for years. Newsblur had the poweruser features I wanted. I’ve tried recommending it to others, much better experience than I had with feedly and inoreader.

Love to hear it! I’m working on better SEO to help make NewsBlur more discoverable and searchable. Pages like “NewsBlur vs Feedly” and “NewsBlur vs Inoreader”, as well as better feature description pages linked from the landing page so you can get a better feel for NewsBlur’s power user features before committing to uploading your OPML.

I’ve tried both of those through the years just to see what they offer…
they pale in comparison to Newsblur.

I think that’s the right approach. To be honest, when I was looking in to newsblur it I didn’t realize how “mature” of a project it was. Cory’s recommendation carried a TON of weight. The Play Store is riddled with software that feels more like someone’s pet project attached to a cash grab. I think anything you can do to boost visibility will go a long way.
