The 'o' key opens new foreground tab in latest Chrome and Firefox.

Previously, my normal course of action would be to quickly go down my “unread” list hitting ‘j’ and ‘o’ to open stories I wanted to read in detail to background tabs where they can load in the background. Now, when I hit ‘o’, it switches to the new tab, and I have to wait for them to load or switch back to the newsblur tab.

This seems to be new behavior within the past couple of days, at least for Chrome. How do I return to the old behavior?

This just started happening to me today in Chrome on Mac OSX.

I’m running Chrome version 40.0.2214.91 m, and I don’t have this problem.
Try uninstalling and re-installing chrome. It might fix your problem.

My Chrome Version 41.0.2272.16 beta (64-bit)

40.0.2214.91 m (32-bit) on Windows 7 here.
