stripping link pollution/privacy/ads/tracking from feedburner/feedsportal/feedproxy

Some feeds provide pretty yucky tracking/advertising story links. Since it’s not Newsblur’s fault, I’m not sure Newsblur is the place for these to be stripped/clean but it sure would be nice!

Example 1:

Feed provides:
http://www.bikerumor.com/2014/04/14/c…
Can be cleaned up to:
http://www.bikerumor.com/2014/04/14/c…

from:
Feed provides intermediate ad page:
http://da.feedsportal.com/c/32401/f/4…
That drops you here:
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/demar…
And can be cleaned up to:
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/demar…

On the other hand, if the follow-through links aren’t occassionally used, how long until the source decides they can’t support rss and removes the feed?

That’s an excellent point… ditto, ad blockers.

Cycle it through some server side javascript, (rinse, repeat, for good measure), and hand me a clean URL.

It sure would be nice, but there’s no possible way I’m doing this. It’s not only against the publisher’s wishes, but it wades into an indefensible legal grey area that I feel this would place me in. The Text view works because it’s user initiated and not automatic.
