Story View doesn't work

Hi, the ‘Story’ View on NewsBlur.com doesn’t work any more?! The problem affects all subscribed feeds. It’s a Premium Account, if that plays a role.

Are you by any chance using the newest version of Firefox and accessing NB via HTTPS? It blocks loading non-https content inside an https view, sadly.

You’re right, it doesn’t work since the last Firefox Update. With Chrome it works. This is really unpleasant.

Thanks to Ojiikun for pointing out what the issue is.

I had a quick look in settings trying to find an option to disable this, make it behave like before where it just warned, no such luck. However, there is a way to change this in about:config.

Go to about:config and search for mixed. That’ll give you at least four entries, double-click “security.mixed_content.block_active_content” to turn it to false which will make story mode work again.

I also tried enabling “security.warn_viewing_mixed” hoping it would return the warning from previous version but it doesn’t seem to do anything.

You should be able to click the little lock icon next to the website address, which controls passive and active mixed content warnings.
