Specific feed hasn't updated in months (Huffington Post)

Newsblur works fine for all my feeds (I have a premium account, if that matters), except for a specific one: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/author/index.php?author=maureen-ryan

The feed receives regular updates (as can be seen by looking at the XML file), but Newsblur doesn’t show any post from after last February – except a lone one from Oct 16 2014, for some reason.

Newsblur doesn’t report any problem with the feed, and no amount of insta-fetching or deleting/re-adding the feed seems to make the recent items show up.

Asking Newsblur for statistics about the feed confirms that Newsblur hasn’t “seen” any stories from it in months (even though it should have). A similar problem seems to have happened between Aug 2012 and Feb 2013, as it again reports no stories for that period.

I love Newsblur and having to check this particular site by hand is inconvenient. I hope the problem can be fixed.

Thanks in advance!

It’s due to HuffPo’s RSS feed being invalid. You can see here: http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.huffingtonpost.com%2Fauthor%2Findex.php%…

And the error says it all: “All entries have the same id”

Essentially that says that every story is reporting to be the same, which means each one overwrites the previous story. I’ve emailed them to let them know.

Thanks a lot for looking into it! Hopefully they’ll fix the problem on their end…
