The shares prior to “popular” all look like bot accounts.

I’ve been seeing the same thing recently.  For example, there’s a Medium article in popular called “About Web Design and What is Web Design?” with 10 shares, all from pretty obvious bot accounts (all say “Hi I am , live in Dublin Ireland…”) and all sharing the same set of stories. Seems to have started ~5 months ago.

Cleaned it up. I’m now a bit more aggressive about spambots.
