There is an ad that has been preventing the feed from more than one of the websites i follow, to show up. Is this a bug?

What’s the feed? Otherwise, it’s probably an overly aggressive Original Site. I would just switch that site to the Feed view. The view is saved per-site and if it is set to the Feed view, the Original view is not loaded, preventing ads from doing their awful thing.
