I normally use NewsBlur via NetNewsWire on my desktop. However, I’ve noticed that certain feeds will only be refetched when I actually visit the NewsBlur.com website or use the official mobile client.
I’ve specifically noticed this with xkcd, which is strange because it’s a super-popular feed and I’m definitely not the only person subscribed to it. Which suggests that it’s not about newsblur fetching things not being triggered, but rather my own account’s status of those feeds not being updated.
Is this something that NetNewsWire is doing wrong? Do they need to call some “refresh shared feeds” API call that they’re not currently using? If so I can handle going and filing issues with them so long as I have something to point to.
