Slashdot feed significantly slower to load and navigate than other feeds

All the feeds on my list work except for slashdot.  I’m not sure if it is the comment feeds or what, but slashdot does not play nice when trying to navigate through the list on first load (it freezes for a good 10 seconds).  This is on Chrome.

Are you running an adblocker? Also, what’s the newsblur.com/site url of the feed? http://www.newsblur.com/site/1198/slashdot looks good to me, although it does have that comments iframe which could cause issues with browser extensions.

Also which story layout are you using for the feed? List view has the best performance, although it only shows a single story at a time.

The site feed is the same as your:
http://www.newsblur.com/site/1198/slashdot

I’m using the “split” view with the “feed” option.

I do have plugins disabled for newsblur.com in Chrome.  Could this be causing the slowdown?
