Google+ shares are broken. See https://developers.google.com/+/web/s… for what you should be using. I prefer opening plus.google.com/share?url= in a new tab to dumping a +1 button everywhere (via the href tag on the button, according to https://developers.google.com/+/web/+…, but that’s in preview), but either works.
