Often the app crashes while I’m trying to read a story (especially when reading on the subway when my connectivity is spotty). When I bring it back up, I have to go find the story in the “read stories” section, if I remember that I was in that situation.
I’m guessing that as soon as I click on a story to start reading it, the app sends some sort of message to the server saying “user A has read story B”.
Would it be possible to hold off on sending that message until I’ve successfully returned to the list of stories or navigated to the next story? Then crashes would not result in me missing a story. If I’ve read a story but not successfully navigated away before a crash, I would see that story again when I came back, but that seems preferable or at least safer.
