It seems that revisions on stories have been enabled but I can’t seem to find the option to disable this. I know this was an option (that I had disabled) but now it seems that it has been enabled and there is no longer an option to disabled it? Maybe I am just missing where the option is…

So I’ll be blogging about this tomorrow morning but this is the new story change viewer. You shouldn’t see it unless you hit the “Show story changes” button. Is that not the case?
I don’t remember changing any settings just noticed it a day or two ago. I am not even seeing the “show story changes” button but maybe I’m looking in the wrong places.
I just silently shipped this update. The text button is in the header of stories that have changes. But edits should be hidden by default. I’m surprised you’re seeing them.
I’m experiencing a similar problem. I just went and took a look at the story headers like you indicated and in stories where edits were showing, the header indicated edits were hidden. So I turned the edits on and then off again, and they then disappeared for that story. So it looks like the hidden-by-default setting is not quite working properly.
Looks like I had to change the story panel display type to get that button to show up in the story header.
