Some sites have a full text RSS feed, so then a Story view is ok. Other sites don’t have that and there I have to click Text every time, which is cumbersome.
Please let the iOS app remember the view type (Story/Text) per site.

Because the text view is so slow, I opted to keep this a per-story setting. I may change it to a per-feed setting, but don’t know how I’d achieve that in terms of UI.
Maybe I don’t understand you correctly, but you don’t have to change or add anything in the UI. Just remember the last choice; just like Mr Reader app does.
But it would only apply to that story. I don’t want people to default to the text view. In fact, that’s why it isn’t offered on the web as a global default, only a per-feed default.
