Reading TouchArcade feed causes excessive memory usage from embedded youtube movies

I just finished reading through my 250 post backlog on TouchArcade, and my computer became progressively less responsive as I kept reading. Nearly every post has an embedded YouTube video and Newsblur doesn’t seem to expunge the posts but keeps them in the DOM as long as you keep reading the same feed. Switching to another feed makes the browser freeze for a second or two while it releases all the objects.

I’m using Firefox 31 on OS X 10.8.

Do you have it set to show only a single story at a time or show all stories in a long list? The DOM is cleared when you show a single story at a time, but I don’t use a buffered list for a long list of stories, so this has been an issue for some time.
