Rachelbythebay.com not fetched (505 timeout) last few days

Newsblur says feed is broken and have been getting Timeout (505) last few days.

There is however no issues fetching the feed (http://rachelbythebay.com/w/atom.xml) in a browser.

I bet it’s an IPv6 problem. My feed fetchers aren’t able to access another site via IPv6 and I wonder if this is related.

If there is a problem with IPv6 then maybe the crawlers should have IPv6 disabled until that is fixed?

Any luck? Still seeing the Timeout (505) on this feed. The last posts on her blog about feedreaders appear to not speak negatively about NewsBlur, but the IPv6 issue could exist.

Please fix this.

http://rachelbythebay.com/w/atom.xml is timing out on my local machine after hitting it directly. Either it’s their server or they’ve blocked newsblur.

I think they have blocked newsblur. When I request that URL with my browser it works fine. Getting responses on ping too.

Yes, fetching any way but Newsblur works fine. Seems weird they would block Newsblur though. They have a thing for newsreaders behaving properly but Newsblur behaves well for the most part according to here roundups.

Is Newsblur still participating in the “Feed Reader Behavior Project” and are those feeds working if so?

I’m starting to wonder, I run miniflux locally and can’t keep her feed updating regularly either, and it is one that she was mostly happy with from the start, with one edge case (etag / Last-Modified update out of sync), and that was addressed promptly.

I don’t even seem to get 429s, it goes straight from wiring to not connecting at all.

While I was setting up I was thinking maybe miniflux does the wrong thing after being restarted, but I left her feed off for a few days, turned it back on, got one update and then connection failures again.

I’m wondering if she’s got an IP filter too tight, or something like that?

Is NewsBlur still working for her test project feeds? Or should I work on getting set up there to see what I can find?
