Today when I opened the “Live From Squid Research Lab” (Official Splatoon Tumblr) feed (http://splatoonus.tumblr.com/rss), it displayed (among actual Splatoon posts) some sports news from somewhere else. May have been a Tumblr fluke, but thought I’d report anyway just in case.
Below are the posts appearing (notice how the feed above doesn’t contain this kind of sports news):
This was due to some database corruption that occured during a third-party library upgrade which triggered another third-party library to corrupt data as it was saved. It only happened to a handful of feeds, but it’s a one-time thing. Unfortunately there’s no easy way to find which feeds it happened to.
I can clean it out by just deleting all of the stories and having the feed re-fetch, bringing a good number of them back in. But I don’t know which feeds to do that to.
It happened to my feed of Ajaxian http://ajaxian.com/ and to Calvin and Hobbes http://www.gocomics.com/calvinandhobbes
No sweat, I can just mark them all as read and move on. Thanks for the info.
