Sometimes the unread status seemingly gets desychronized between parts of NewsBlur — the sidebar and unread item count vs. the story list.
It typically goes something like this — it looks like I’m finished reading, but NewsBlur still says I’ve got unread items. When I press ‘m’ to try to find these items, I watch NewsBlur loading page after page of articles until it finally gives up. Here’s an example—you can see it’s made it all the way back to June 17 without finding these articles.
Even ‘r’ doesn’t always clean things up; I will have to reload NewsBlur entirely.
