In 13.5.0 for Android, it’s no longer possible to share articles. The share and other buttons are covered by the floating Next button. See screenshot.
Also, upon installation of the new version, the app was bricked. Hung on logo for 10+ minutes. Clearing cache didn’t help. Reinstall fixed it.
Oops, this might be a regression in an Android update we launched a couple days ago. @andrei, can you reproduce this? What phone model are you on?
@mokelly Could you share the feed’s name for me to take a look?
There was extra padding added recently to the bottom this screen so the bottom buttons are scroll above the Text and Next.
This is what I’d expect to see with 13.5.0
That feed was for this website: Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal - Cheetos
However, the problem is on all my feeds.
I use a Galaxy S23. I think its aspect ratio is unusually long.
Thanks for looking into this!
@mokelly I think you’re seeing that because you have the old system navigation with buttons enabled on the device. Could you confirm that?
Looking into tweaks to support that too with the new Android 15 edge to edge enforcement.
I do have system buttons at the bottom of my screen. (Not captured in the screenshot for some reason.) What is the alternative? I can test turning that off if you can point me to the setting.
I’m not sure on Samsung but if the Settings app has a search function look for gesture navigation or navigation.
Regardless - I will add a fix for the 3 button navigation.
Updates are available in 13.5.1
Thanks, that’s an improvement!
The same overlap problem is still impacting comments on articles.
