Orientation Change Resets Article

Premium User Here - update Android App to keep the location of an RSS article when the orientation is switched from portrait to landscape (or vice-versa). The problem is that sometimes when I’m reading a long RSS article and I accidentally shift my phone too much the orientation changes and the article resets to the top of the page and I have to scroll all of the way down and hunt for where I left off.

This bug is still present.

It wouldn’t bother me too much itself, but it has been said to be an high-priority issue because of unexpected consenquences (see comment by collaborator dosiecki).

Just to add explicit references for a couple of important consequences of this bug:

  • unread overlay counter can get increasingly incorrect;
  • pagination to search for additional stories resets to page 1
