I set the Open links in preference to this tab, and they don’t. I verified that the source story is allowing them to open in the same tab (i.e. there’s no javascript intercepting the link, nor is the link’s target set to _blank) but in NewsBlur the links still open in a new tab. In fact, the story I tried it on was the latest in the NewsBlur blog, and on the source site they open in the same window but in NewsBlur, even with the preference set, they still open in a new tab.
