The NPR news feed stopped updating in Newsblur on November 13th. If I visit the URL, the feed shows the current stories from November 17th. https://feeds.npr.org/1001/rss.xml
The site settings within Newsblur indicate it is able to fetch the feed successfully (200).
From what I’ve gathered, NPR might have implemented geoblocking or something else:
Same here on my NPR Music feed (same URL but 1039). Visiting the feed URL in a web browser returns an updated feed with no problem. Not sure it’s a geoblocking thing because I’m in the US.
Whoa, so they actually block requests that are coming from Europe? That’s astounding! We do have the ability to route these sorts of requests to a US-based task server, but I’d have to set that up. We also have a residential proxy set up for feeds that give a forbidden signal. Maybe I can tap into that, and we can get NPR. Let me see how we’re processing these NPR feeds.
