I use notifiier.in for e-mail newsletters that I would like to turn into RSS feeds instead. How it works is that I forward the e-mail to address specified by notifier.in, and notifier.in creates the RSS feed. The feeds end in .XML, and I can pull up the feed just fine via web browser. Sometime in late November, Newsblur stopped recognize these feeds as RSS feeds. The error I now receive reads - 2021-02-13 01:39:16 Not an RSS feed (553)
Over and over again.
What happened?
I looked into it and it looks like notifier.in is serving HTML to NewsBlur’s feed fetchers for some reason, possibly trying to be smart about how it displays RSS feeds to clients. Here’s the raw HTML:
