I’ve noticed that sometimes Newsblur will not refresh on its own with new items. There will seemingly not be anything to read, only to find that if I reload the browser tab, there are new items there.
Also, is there a way to search my feeds? It would come in handy if I were trying to find something.
It depends. If you are on http:// (and not https://)), then sites should load unreads in real-time. If the publisher is using PuSH, then within 5-10 seconds it’ll show up on NewsBlur.
If you are on SSL (https), then unfortunately I can’t support real-time just yet. When nginx supports web sockets (hopefully within a month or two), I’ll build it in. But it’s just too much work to handle both websockets and ssl traffic at the same time.
But, if you’re on SSL, it should be refreshing every 1 minute.
