I noticed that NewBlur no longer had the green lock showing that the site was fully loaded via HTTPS.

For me at least, it does when on newsblur.com. Once you start loading in the third party content in a story view though, it never has that I remember. Even one feed coming over HTTP is enough to make that go away.
