Newsblur is more clever and thoughtful than we realize

I’ve seen a lot of people showing their appreciation for the “just in case” OPML backup emails, but I just wanted to draw attention to this recent update that I thought was really smart: If a subscribed feed starts sending a 301 header (“moved permanently”), Newsblur will wait until it gets 20 in a row before updating your feed URL automatically to avoid breaking things.

I admire that kind of careful attention to detail!

Hey, you noticed that! I just added that a couple weeks ago (or was it last week? i dunno, these are long weeks). This is to address the one-time broken feed which has felled a few high profile feeds recently.

Amen to that!

I too notice these kind of thoughtful features, and I really appreciate them. Hallmarks of great software dev IMHO!
