Moving to new feed selects first unread, which marks it as read

From the browser, he behavior recently changed when a user moves to a new feed, either by opening NewsBlur, or by using cmd-key shortcuts to move to a new thread. The newest unread article is automatically selected. This ends up causing that article to be marked as read. I much prefer the old behavior, where the list of items would be shown, but I had to manually pick an item to view.

Any way to revert back to old behavior?

Preferences > Feeds > When opening a site = Show all stories
