I wasn’t seeing this problem until a week or two ago, when it suddenly started happening to me.
I’m pushing out a bunch of river fixes today, some of which will fix this issue for social stories and some edge cases of reading by folder.
For me, even when all the feeds are read, the title bar shows about 206 stories are unread when there are clearly none.
