Mailing list support for email newsletter forward

Hi, I’m in a couple of old-school mailing lists via email. I’d love to redirect them to newsblur using the email newsletter feature but unfortunately it splits different authors into different feeds. It would be perfect if it would group by mailing list. Is there any way to set it up like this?

If click on the cog that brings up the main menu, There is an option called email newsletters. When you click on it. It will display a forwarding address that you can use. Should be (your address here) @newsletters.newsblur.com

I think what this user is asking is whether we can change how we process the sender, and instead of making a new mailing list per sender, we figure out the to address or some other identifier. The problem is I don’t know what that identifier is and how to switch it between the two, and then we’d have to go clean up all the existing mailing lists based on that information. What I probably want to build is, if we do switch it, it’d be a preview of these email senders would then get merged into a single mailing list. Then ask “Do you want to merge?” That’s my understanding of it.

@mkasu Can you share your NewsBlur username if it’s different and a sample of just the feed ID or the username or the email the sender, or some way I can identify that? Maybe I’ll try to build it around that particular use case.

I know exactly what you’re talking about. If I were to say subscribe to a Google Group, I believe the `To:` line would then be the common element between all those messages, but each of the senders would be their own mailing list, and that’s not good.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes, that’s what I’m referring to.

My Newsblur username is mkasu. The feeds iieej-hensyu, kondo, aki-kurihara got split up from the same redirected mailing list.

Yes, I think that’s the case.
