MacOS app: Can we have a 'home' page?

A difference I’ve found between the web and the MacOS app, is the (in-)ability to leave a feed by pressing Esc. On the web, hitting Esc will go back to a home page, and feels like a nice way to finish a session of reading articles, with the ability to click back into a feed later to see what’s new.

The MacOS app has a starting blank ‘select a feed’ page on launch, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to get back out of a feed once finished reading, other than selecting a different feed.

The stats and ‘what’s new’ on the web home page are nice touches, and would be great to have same/similar on a MacOS app home page too, reachable by hitting Esc from a feed view.

Boy oh boy are you in luck, the beta of the NewsBlur macOS app has exactly what you’re looking for. @Dejal Any ideas on when this ships?

I’m still working on OS 26 compatibility, but once that is done, it’d be nice to release all the great enhancements in the alpha builds. Perhaps around the new year?

And yes, the Mac app (and iPad app) includes keyboard shortcuts, including Cmd-Shift-D to show the Dashboard, and Cmd-Shift-E to show All Site Stories (E for everything).

Sounds fantastic, look forward to it. Thanks!
