Larger fonts and different colors in iOS app

Due to my (slight) eye problems, I’m a bit more critical to interfaces than some others might be.

For my eyes the message list fonts is a bit too small. So it would be nice if you can add an option to enlarge it. Also the message view can have one extra font size like 19pt.

Besides this I have trouble with some colors, especially the unread messages. The colors are too light. E.g. the tag list: quite small and fore/back color not distinctive enough for me.

This issue has been brought up at least a couple of times this month. But I don’t see any feedback or acknowledgement from the developer. It does not look to me they are listening.

I agree that the ability to use larger fonts would be a benefit.

Just saw an idea post about this: https://getsatisfaction.com/newsblur/…

Hope that you all +1 when you want this, like me.

I agree with Marcus for the iOS app on the iPad.  (I don’t use it on the iPhone.)  My thoughts:

  1.  The list of messages pane (the left column of the screen) has a font size that is smaller than most other apps I use.  I’m fine with the font on all other apps, but sometime need to use iOS settings to increase the font size before I use NewsBlur.  I don’t need to do this for any other app.  Please increase the font size to match how other apps generally are.

  2. The list of message pane has a light grey font that seems designed for poor visibility.  Please change it to a much darker grey or, ideally, black.

Otherwise I love NewsBlur.

In case it helps, you can set the iOS app to not use the system font size. Then you get font size settings for the feed and story list, and for story detail as separate settings. It’s in the preferences of the app.

Thanks, that helps.
