Jerky scrolling on iOS 9 ipad

Pressing the next button results in a jerky scoll. This was worse on the iOS 9 beta, but is still an issue. I suspect it might be an issue with slightly older devices, as my iPad is two years old.

P.s. Newsblur is awesome!

I have 9.1 on iPhone and I can say it has gotten worse. I don’t think it is a hardware issue, think it is code incompability with newer OSes.(iPhone 5s woíth ios 9.1)

Still Newsblur is awesome but needs an update  :)

Same here on an iPad mini 4 so it’s not a hardware issue (and glad to know my new mini is not defective). Also, NewsBlur was crashing a lot in iOS 8 and is now crashing even more in iOS 9.

Download the latest enterprise build and see if it helps: https://www.newsblur.com/ios/download. Don’t forget to go to Settings > General > Profile > Trust NewsBlur after you download it.

Thank you, but does not work for me. App Store does not open. As an aside, all built in apps on iOS now use metal for scrolling , see “foundation” on https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1842?l…. It maybe the iOS 8 scrolling does not very well anymore.

The App Store shouldn’t open. This is a direct download link using enterprise distribution.

I use an iPhone 6 and an iPad Air 1 and both have smooth scrolling and no issues, so please let me know your OS and device when reporting speed issues. It should be buttery smooth.

My iPad mini 3 still running iOS 8 is fine. But as I noted my iPad mini 4 running iOS 9 has jerky scrolling and also side swiping to go to the next story. It’s not the touch screen as scrolling is fine in other apps.

Thank you but not possible to download. Nothing happens. If I long press I get two options. "Open in AppStore " and copy.
It does not open in AppStore.

Best Regards Michael

They’re talking about the side-to-side movement swiping between articles or clicking the “Next” button.  I recall you mentioned at one point that some of this was unavoidable, but it does seem worse with iOS 9 on identical hardware.

Very weird. Nothing happens when I try to download. IPA file is there for direkt download but not able to install.

What could I be doing wrong?

Mine is iPad 4 generation. Do I need to pen the link on my MacBook?

@Samuel Clay, why not use TestFlight for external testing like everyone else? What you’re doing is something Apple doesn’t allow lately and can result into your developer account pulled because you can’t share betas like this (ToS violation and enterprise certs are only allowed internally and approved contractors).

Is it just my phone that refuses to install the beta?
When I click the link nothing happens.

I have an iPhone 5s with iOS 9.1

No, it’s not you. More people reported issues with trying to install than anyone reporting success so far.

It seems to get worse the longer the app is open.  If I force quit the app and start it up, its back to expected speed.

Could it be a server issue? I’ve noticed that the iOS app goes off line / loses the connection all the time. (Wasn’t like that before) when off line it definitely lags

NewsBlur often goes offline for me too in the iOS apps but that’s a separate issue. The jerky scrolling occurs when connected. It seems to be an iOS 9 issue.

I finally got it installed. I had to uninstall the default app , then it installed.
However after installing it immediately opened appstore were there were a new release v5. (thank’s samuel)

It seems very quick and sofar it works perfectly. I can not find the setting for using the new safari based browser though. Has that been removed?

THAT WORKED. Deleting the App Store app and clicking on the link did in fact allow me to install the beta.

@michael johnson, Preferences > Default Browser > In-app Safari.
