New posts show up in bottom window, but will not appear in top window, even if I specifically click one. (Clicking it does mark it as “read,” though of course I’ve not been able to read it.)
Check that you’re in the Feed view (bottom of the web app) and either Split or List view. The Full view may be preventing you from seeing things. Also, I’m not so sure. Can you post a screenshot if swithing views doesn’t work.
Sorry for the delay. I had to wait for a new James Fallows post, but now I have one. Attached is screen shot. Even if I click (or double-click) on the title in the lower window, nothing happens other than the post is marked as “read.” There’s no way to get it into the top window so I can read it.
You cropped out the bottom of the screenshot, but you’re in Text mode. Click on Feed on the bottom, or click on a story.
Aha. Thanks. I have switched to Feed view. I’m not sure I understand the differences among the views, but it’s probably in the documentation. Which is where?
Click on FAQ at the bottom of the dashboard, which you see when you first login. Or hit the home icon in the top left. (Hitting esc also works)
