Maybe I understood wrong, question is basically the title. I have trained some stories with Super Dislike, but they still show up in my feed (with the small red dot on the left indicating they have tags I don’t like, which is still hard to see). Am I missing something? Thanks
Thanks for the report. I took a look and your super dislikes are all saved correctly on your account, so this isn’t a case of them not sticking. They’re scoring the matching stories as hidden the way they should.
So the question is where you’re seeing them. A super disliked story gets marked hidden, but hidden stories still show up in a couple of spots by design. On the web they appear if you’re in All Stories, or if you’ve clicked the “show hidden stories” bar above the story list. Switch to Unread or Focus and they drop out. If you trained them while the feed was already open, reload the feed so the change takes effect.
On the iOS and Android apps, a story that was already loaded before you trained it won’t disappear on its own. Pull to refresh that feed so it rescores and they should go.
Which platform are you seeing this on? If it’s Unread or Focus on the web and they’re still there after a reload, tell me and I’ll dig in from there.
I have this issue too, often. The posts have the red dot but show up in the feed. Best I can recall, this happens on iOS and not the web. Could it be because the training is applied before full-text is extracted?
I’m on iOS too and also see this frequently. I actually had started to think maybe Super Dislikes were a premium feature or something I just didn’t have access to.
Hello Samuel, thanks for the reply and sorry for my late response.
I noticed this problem on Android, with the Newsblur app. I just made a quick test with one of my feeds, accessing it from the Android app and from the web. In the web, stories are correctly hidden whilst in Android, stories that should be hidden are shown (with the red dot on the left side that indicates they are disliked, but nonetheless they are shown).
I trained the stories a long time ago so I believe it is not a problem of a story that was loaded before training. I’ll say the problem then is on the Android app side for the moment.
A picture is worth 1000 words so here are some screenshots.

Notice the shown stories with the red dot on the left side.
Edit: typo
