Is there any way to stop any Google News Stories

From showing me this in the writing section? I had several folders with just certain Google News Phrases and everyone has this in the writing section.

Did I mess up something?

I see the same thing in my Google News feeds, and I think that’s just how Google formats them. Google News is aggregating and scraping articles from other sites, so the full content doesn’t come through in the RSS feed. Once you open the item in NewsBlur, just click the title and it will take you to the original article.

@JTTraveler is right that Google News feeds only carry a headline and a link, but that cookie notice was on NewsBlur’s side. Google News links go through a news.google.com redirect, and when NewsBlur’s servers, which sit in Europe, followed it to pull the article text, Google handed them its cookie consent page instead of the story. That page is what ended up as the text. I’ve fixed it so NewsBlur decodes the link to the real article first and never keeps that consent page as a story’s text. Stories that already show the notice will swap in the real article the next time you open them.
