I’m really enjoying many aspects of NewsBlur and you can really see the passion that is put in the platform, but though I was thinking about paying the premium subscription, there are some features I’ve not yet fully understood, or wanted to try out before paying. Also, I still am not fully familiarized with the UI (I find it messier than other options in the market), which is holding me back a little bit about going premium.
In fact, the problem is that you can only purchase a whole year. And being in a country where a dollar is 5x more expensive than my currency (and the minimum wage here is like…$250), it turns out to be an expensive way of trying a service.
I’d gladly pay for a month to try out and still help the creators, but couldn’t find a way to do so. So I was wondering, is there a way of getting a free trial or a monthly subscription that I can pay to fully test Newsblur?
It’s funny you ask this because I actually already have a reverse trial PR ready to go and I’m just waiting to launch it. So maybe this will be the incentive that I need to finally pull the trigger on that.
All set!!! I’ve started the trial, and everything seems to be working fine. Thanks again, I’m already liking what I see around here. Congrats for the work on the platform.
I built web feeds in a way that you can preview wha the output is without a premium archive subscription. You just can’t subscribe to it. So that will tell you if it works for finding and extracting the stories.
