Is there any free trial of premium features?

I’m really enjoying many aspects of NewsBlur and you can really see the passion that is put in the platform, but though I was thinking about paying the premium subscription, there are some features I’ve not yet fully understood, or wanted to try out before paying. Also, I still am not fully familiarized with the UI (I find it messier than other options in the market), which is holding me back a little bit about going premium.

In fact, the problem is that you can only purchase a whole year. And being in a country where a dollar is 5x more expensive than my currency (and the minimum wage here is like…$250), it turns out to be an expensive way of trying a service.

I’d gladly pay for a month to try out and still help the creators, but couldn’t find a way to do so. So I was wondering, is there a way of getting a free trial or a monthly subscription that I can pay to fully test Newsblur?

It’s funny you ask this because I actually already have a reverse trial PR ready to go and I’m just waiting to launch it. So maybe this will be the incentive that I need to finally pull the trigger on that.

Thanks for the response, king! I’ll be checking the updates so I can be there when it launches.

Ok I just launched it and you should see an “Upgrade to Premium Trial” module on the dashboard. Let me know how that works for you!

All set!!! I’ve started the trial, and everything seems to be working fine. Thanks again, I’m already liking what I see around here. Congrats for the work on the platform.

Is there any way to trial the Premium Archive features, particularly the Web Feeds? I’d like to make sure it works for me before committing $100.

I built web feeds in a way that you can preview wha the output is without a premium archive subscription. You just can’t subscribe to it. So that will tell you if it works for finding and extracting the stories.
