I had thought this was working before, but I can’t seem to find the combination of preferences that produce the desired behavior.
What I want is to not have the first article in a feed marked as “read” when I enter a folder or feed. I use shift-j/k to navigate between folders/feeds, and I don’t want to ding the first article whenever I move over a feed, on my way to the next feed.
