I’ve noticed that newsblur uses ports 8889 or 8888 to retrieve the real time unread article count. But due to a firewall policy this feature doesn’t work for me. Is there some way to disable it?

If it fails then NewsBlur falls back to polling. There shouldn’t be an issue, even with a firewall.
Yep there isn’t an error on newsblur, but it creates hundreds of requests every so often that are continually being blocked and reported. Would just be handy if there was an option to turn it off
