nytimes.com and washingtonpost.com drive me crazy with the framekillers that kick me out of newsblur. Is there some Chrome plugin or something I can do to prevent them from doing that?

Hmm, nytimes.com should be handled by NewsBlur in a few different ways. For one, it’s on the iframe blacklist, so NewsBlur should refuse to load any link in either the Original view or Story view with nytimes.com in it. Secondly, I employ an iframe buster buster against their iframe busters. It works 95% of the time, but if their server responds faster than mine, then off you go.
I can add washingtonpost.com to the iframe blacklist.
