We’ve been experiencing technical issues with NewsBlur over the past weekend. We’re able to access a few articles but are then kicked out of the program shortly afterward. does it happen to everyone?
Stats all look good and there’s been no downturn in usage, so I suspect it’s on your end.
I and my team members are constantly getting the message below. could you please advise on what might be wrong? we also wrote an email to samuel@newsblur.com but haven’t received reply.
I dont know what STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION is but that sounds suspiciously like a firewall, and explains why your colleagues are also hitting this issue. Is it being blocked by your upstream provider?
I just checked the IT support in our company and they say it have nothing with firewall. and NB is working well until last week. Do you have any idea what might cause it? I just used NB for two minutes and now got this message again.
I assume this is on a PC or Mac? Since it sounds like you are at work, there may not be much troubleshooting you can do, but I’ve seen this sort of issue with browser or browser extensions issues.
If you can, back up your bookmarks or other important data and uninstall Chrome or whatever browser you are using. Restart, then reinstall the browser from a newly downloaded installer. Try running the browser without any extensions and see if the problem continues. If it does, there could be RAM or GPU issues causing it (less likely in my experience).
