I’m wondering if there is a tool already on site to thin out the feed by culling out stories that are repeats through the day. Maybe there is s switch to hit to allow feeds to only once or twice a day, which might eliminate this problem.

Hmmm. Looks like this may not be as big a problem as I thought. On the same feed I can’t find repeats, but when I looked through my conglomeration of feeds, there were repeats of, I guess, different publications covering the same story with similar headlines, or perhaps they were picking up the story from the same news service. So nevermind. BTW Newsblur is great!
