The new (v15) app gets stuck sliding between stories. It’ll stop halfway between the story slide, or it’ll go slow, or it’ll freeze for a moment or 20+ seconds. It’s kind of random on when it how long it’ll freeze.
It makes using the app slow, especially when I’m trying to go through a couple hundred news stories in a few minutes.
I’ve managed to catch it in a screen recording.
Has anyone seen this?
Same here. Sideways scrolling works when vertical scrolling freezes.
Found it: processing downloaded images could stall the reader between stories. Fixed for 15.0.1 and verified with repeated swiping. Should be live within a day or two. Thanks for reporting this! I noticed it too and it was super annoying.
For me, the freezing while scrolling continues to happen after upgrading to 15.0.1 and 15.0.2 on iOS.
