How to turn off "automatic" popups?

I’m typing along in some other program and suddenly NewsBlur pops up. Again and again. How to turn off that sudden interruption??

I’ve searched this forum and searched NewsBlur’s settings. Can not find what to do. I have an ordinary Premium subscription.

Well NewsBlur isn’t sending those, so if you can take a full window screenshot, that would help figure out what you’re seeing.

Right. NewsBlur didn’t do that.

I created a keyboard macro to open a story in my browser, then immediately return to NewsBlur and down arrow to the next story … with a single keystroke.

But my macro went rogue. And started “popping up” Newsblur on its own. I’m brand new to NewsBlur and thought it was some sort of notification setting.

It wasn’t. I have since cleaned up up the macro, and now all is well.
